I’m not commenting on that aspect of the letter. I agree that it is very non apologetic in the beginning. But it is indeed an apology and regardless of whether or not they mean it, that’s just not what this subreddit is supposed to be about.
An apology is admitting that you were wrong and saying you are sorry. Saying you will do better in the future is better, obviously, but it’s not a necessary component. Furthermore, it’s not relevant to this post not belonging here. Not sure why everyone is struggling with that.
So I think your opinions are terrible, you are generally a horrible human being and I honestly can’t stand you but I’m sorry about the most obvious mistake I’ve ever publicly made.
