I’ve basically warned the people who use it that if they enshittify further I won’t be doing anything to try to maintain it.
I gave them a PSA not to get a subscription, because I got a lifetime pass ages ago, but if they do much else I’m out. I’ll maybe, depending on the changes, keep hosting it in case they want to keep using it, but I won’t maintain it properly (it auto-adds stuff from my folders, ofc, so that’ll still happen, but I won’t fix any mismatches and stuff). I’m in the process of setting up jellyfin, but I have zero intention of making that available to anyone other than my partner (in IT, and already has access to my home VPN) because I’ve read how risky that is, and how you need to VPN them back to it or some shit and I’m just not willing to do any of that. Too risky and too much work cuz I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.
I’d love a middle ground, but I’m not sure I’m willing to pay for another closed-source platform, and Idk if any open source platforms are ever going to be particularly good for remote sharing for non-techie users.

They used sensors to detect particle energy, which is what temperature measures, when they impacted. There are so very few particles out there that no significant heat transfer actually took place, despite the particles themselves having huge amounts of energy.

It’s around 1,000 mods, the authors of them worked closely together for compatibility, and they have a community-driven mod sorting tool to reduce errors. You can single-click to add all and follow the directions to have them properly sort for best experience.
I use around half of the mods on that list, very much recommend. You don’t have to have all of them enabled if there’s content you don’t like or whatever.
I do mostly sandboxy base building, rather than accomplishing main objectives, so I frequently have hordes of kids running around my base (highest pawn count ever was 86, I just sort of let people do their own thing and accommodate them). The first bit is kinda annoying, but growth vats for newborns are great if you can’t spare people for feeding and play time :)
I considered odyssey, but then I realized it would break all my mods, because they aren’t through steam, and I have multiple weeks spent getting those appx 750 mods working properly. Not worth it when a lot of the mods I like most have been shelved with the major changes. I’d need an entirely new setup.

I personally would rather be an amputee on the side of the road with no shelter than be kept prisoner in my own body with the use of drugs and restraints. That’s literally my worst nightmare. And I’m not “severely mentally ill”.
You don’t know what reasons she has for doing what she does, but what IS completely, abundantly, crystal clear, is that she herself considers the position she is presently in to be better than whatever she would potentially deal with under care. And you don’t know why she came to this conclusion. Maybe she was institutionalized when she was young and was abused or whatever and has ptsd about it. Maybe she knows someone else who was.
Or yeah, maybe she’s so mentally ill that it’s forcing her to deny care. I strongly doubt it, but maybe. And we’ll never know unless we fix everything else first. So. Kinda moot point, isn’t it?
