Considering that address match, and the fact that the location on the in-question FEC filing does not exist in Pittsburgh, evidence favors the conclusion that the shooter made the donation — not someone else with the same name.
To be fair, I think he was living with his parents so there’s no way to know who wanted them. Maybe they all did, maybe not.
Either way, from what I’ve heard it doesn’t seem like he was that political. It appears like he was just a kid who liked guns but was such a bad shot the shooting club at his school wouldn’t let him in. He then decided to immortalize himself as a presidential assassin, but instead immortalized himself as the terrible shot everyone thought he was.
