PoliticoĀ reports that it was sent communications from inside theĀ Trump campaign, including Sen.Ā J.D. Vanceās (R-OH) 271-page vetting file, allegedly by an Iranian hacker.
The outlet said that it has been receiving anonymous emails containing internal communications from the Trump campaign. The campaign acknowledged the authenticity of the communications on Saturday, accusing āforeign sources hostile to the United States,ā for leaking them.
Anybody who wants to stop Trump should at least be considered a temporary ally.
Amidst a sea of Russian bots and trolls shilling for Jill Stein at the hour of need an unlikely force stepped out to bat for democracy: Iran. Partly out of spite it seems - which given Trump is the target can only be described as poetic.
It would be sweet if Iran became cool again. Old Iran looked like a somewhat good time.
Donāt hold your breath. Their government is still as oppressive as ever.
I mean you could go to Dubai to simulate the experience. Or maybe Cairo.
Yeah Iām having a hard time feeling negative about Iran doing this when we know what Russia is up to. At least it levels the playing field a bit. Feels icky though!
