I wonder what it’s like to be a genuine, true believer in the “deep state,” then to be put in charge of part of it. Suddenly, you’re getting actual, internal reports on the activities of a group of people you’ve been certain for years are Satan incarnate.
How does the conspiracy theory survive that? I mean, of course it does survive, because these people are actually insane, but how?
