I got permanently banned on Reddit because I support punishment and public humiliation for mass school shooter in the comment section.

After I submitted an appeal in the first time, I got rejected. Reddit appeal page still appears on my Google, but I don’t sure what kind of words should I write for an appeal in the next time.

I also downloaded Proton VPN app but I saw people stated that Reddit can find a way to track down the VPN account in some cases.

Any safe tips?

Banning by IP address is a bad practice. For example, you are connected to your home, campus, work office, restaurant, or airport public Wi-Fi access point (AP), leave a comment, and now everyone who is connected to the same AP sharing the same IP address get banned.

They don’t ban IP but they do place extra scrutiny on IPs that have previously had banned activity for a bit.

Banning IPs is one of the silliest things people think companies do, they are transient and can change at the drop of a hat, banning an IP would mean banning random people at random times based purely on luck of the draw IP leases.
