It’s like a seal’s face photoshopped off of its body and then half clipped into a wooden ledge. And I’m sober.
It’s a common or garden variety windowsill, related to many different types of windowsills you might see around your neighborhood most times of the year.
Not only in my own neighborhood! My elementary school was in a building almost completely made out of marble. It’s a really old building. The staircases were RIDDLED with fossils. :)
Most of the fossils in the schools I went to were in administration.

No idea what specie has taught you to photo, but I don’t have the slightest idea what I am looking at.
I just remembered learning in junior high that marble and some other rock types used in construction sometimes contain fossils that look like this.

My dibs would be on MTB (birota montium) on the left and its road sibling (birota viae) on the right :)
I knew it! Now, it’s finally confirmed, that these awesome means of transportation originated in the very primordial elements - hydrogen, helium and lithium - that turned into the cozy universe-chan that we know and love today. Thanks for enlightening me! :)
