I have a chinese robot vacuum (not a popular name but it was the cheapest one with a lidar), and it just uses Tuya (a Chinese smart home app used for many devices). In Tuya, you can fix the way rooms are “cut” and make no-go zones.
There’s a problem though - if the vacuum gets stuck or lost and fails to understand where it is, it would just erase everything it knew about the apartment, so I got tired of setting stuff up again
