He didn’t at all slam anything. He came up with a weak defense that had nothing. He had 24 hours to do it, and he knows how to do a defense. This was show, nothing more

Justice Samuel Alito has slammed the Supreme Court for acting “literally in the middle of the night”

Which is an appropriate response when the Trump administration also illegally deports immigrants in the middle of the night.

I’m rooting for a reckoning. Where each of them gets to explain their actions on trial before being the last victims of the concentration camps they’re building.

I’m rooting for that, but after the end of the trump admin. I really hate that Trump is likely getting 2 more SC justices.

If we don’t take these nazis out by the roots they’ll have all 9 soon enough. The liberal justices aren’t that young and the conservatives keep on doing whatever they feel in the moment logic be damned. Sure they’re against this right now but they also gave him sweeping immunity. I don’t trust any of the conservatives to stand against the emperor they’ve created for any real length of time.

So many different things need to happen for the country to get somewhere half decent much less actually good. The modern Republicans and “moderate” democrats are symptomatic of much greater issues.

It drives me nuts so I’ve been commenting slam on every post I happen to come across, its like 4-5 per day. I’m trying to spread awareness of slam fatigue. On the bright side I saw the word “blasts” used today which I don’t actually mind! its a bit more interesting. Theres just something about the word slam and how often its used that grinds my gears I can’t explain it! I wish they’d be more creative like “throws a haymaker!” or “RKO’d” or “falcon punches”.

Why would anyone need due process? Might as well shut down judicial system and just start hanging folks or put them up on the wall handmaid style.

I’m ready for one of our reps to drop The DDT in the main House chamber. Slams are so Bruno Sammartino.

Sounds like there’s nothing to dissent, here. They already ruled that detainees should be given a chance to dispute their deportation, in court. This ruling just makes sure that Trump gives them that chance.

What he said wasn’t against the middle of the night judgment, he wasn’t “slamming” the court. He was angry at the administration for making it necessary. He said he opposed having to get up and work in the middle of the night because the admin was refusing to do their job. He didn’t disagree with the judgment, he was objecting to the fact that they are taking extraordinary effort now in order to weigh in on things that shouldn’t need their attention at all.

And honestly, Sammy, same. This clown show has demanded too much of my attention and it’s not theirs to demand. But it’s your job to make sure we don’t get to the point where this shit happens. That was your fuck up. Sometimes when I fuck up, I have to work extra to fix it.

    So fix your shit, Sambo.

What are you talking about? Is this some alternative facts bullshit?

He dissented. He is slamming the court, he voted against the court’s ruling.

I agree with the second half of what you said, but your interpretation of what he’s saying is far too charitable. He absolutely disagreed with the court’s judgement.

I think you’re reading it wrong. He definitely is pissed that the court has to make an emergency ruling in the middle of the night, but I think he would prefer that the court keep kicking the can down the road, and only ruling against the administration on narrow procedural grounds.

He knows he can’t get the rest of the court to sign on to making Trump a King, but if the court never makes a ruling that directly prevents that, he will still have done the job that his sponsors pay him for.

Totally, he fucked up, it’s just normal that he should fix it, urgently if it’s a matter of lufe and death - which it is!
