I want to just delete my Discord, FB, Reddit, Second Life and other social sites so I can just be focused on myself. But I can’t because the guilt of seemingly deserting those I have left, will be hard to deal with.
Regularly vacuum. Idk what it is that’s so difficult about it, I can force myself to deal with the awful sensory experiences of other chores on a fairly regular basis, but vacuuming is one I put off till the floor gives me anxiety.
Also I need to linux my laptops and bypass a forgotten password on the old one with the disk drive so I can watch stuff again on the good screen. I’ve been meaning to do this for zonks now, ffs.
Socials wise, just do it, think of it like ripping off a bandaid. Add those you want to keep to a group chat or something and hopefully they’ll talk there. Ngl tho, I do still miss reddit, being an anonymous voice amongst millions was nice. I hate that feeling of being recognised.
Make friends or have fulfilling sex
Is Second life still a thing?!
It bothers me maybe once a week to think that I’ll probably never go to space.
Not have to go to work
Own my own home.
And the real bitch of it is that cheap homes are in those places that generally don’t have jobs (of any kind, really), and good jobs are in those places that generally don’t have cheap homes.
And this wouldn’t be such a problem if “good jobs” still provided an annual income of more than ⅓ the cost of a “good home”. But they aren’t. They’re much, much less these days.
So we can’t even really use the second half of that aphorism anymore.
I feel really sorry for anyone younger than GenX. Unless you’re a nepo baby of some kind, you got seriously shafted.
Due to financials, I currently cannot get a commission from my favorite artists. Specifically a ref sheet of higher quality than my current skills and some fan art as well. Similar thing applies to getting a VTuber model and trackers with the help of said ref sheet/s… just to say I’ve tried it.
Besides, that’s a lot of work to try and get all that VTubing stuff to work on linux. Either that, or I am dumb.
Work for myself. Don’t really care doing what, but in my wildest dreams I make an indie game as good as Stardew Valley or Walkabout Mini Golf, and just spend my time making updates at my own pace.
I’d also be happy as a window cleaner, dog walker, freelance floorcleaner whatever.
Oh sure, I tell you, you tell somebody else, next thing you know we’re in another ice age.
Get my health back so I can do everything I thought was there forever.
Two chicks at the same time

So… Do you just round-robin, or…
This is why I can’t. Not without kangaroo genetic therapy.
Stop “working” as in regular day job. There would be so many things I’d like to do and help other people - aside from that I am also medically severely disabled and it would be great to have the time to live better.
But no chance, gotta be “productive”. (even though not USA but at least I’m not broke because of the circumstances)
I’m also medically severely disabled, but finally got on a disability pension after years of work.
What kind of things would you do to help people? I feel like anything I could do, I can’t, because of said disability. If I have the capacity I rarely contribute to open source software and projects, but that’s about it.
There’s a house for the elderly close by. I could help them with company or tech - aside from that tech help for those who got left behind would be a great thing in general.
The worst part of capitalism is that it is violently coercive. You need to be profitable to someone else, least you become destitute, starving, and eventually homeless, and likely even die on the streets.
My personal irony is that I already died once and it made me bitter and people expect me to be thankful, which in itself is a loop I could get lost in.
You’re back and well, well you know what to do. Work!
Drop out of society more or less completely. People stress me out.
Own a home, be in a long term relationship, have a career worth a shit.
I’m turning 40, “uneducated” because I never “found myself” and had to support myself right out of highschool. Single for almost a decade. Working a dead end factory job. It’s not happening. :/
I also went right to work after high school. Some of my jobs were dead-end as recently as 2020, but I found better work in which I can flourish. I’m also in a wonderful relationship and got married, in my 40s, to someone I met after a long time alone and a long-term abusive partner before that.
Things can get better.
(I’m a city-dweller who will probably never own a home, though. Fuck real estate prices, but at least my apartment isn’t bad at all.)
good news is plenty of people are educated and single and own homes… and feel the exact same way as you.
I meet them all the time.
I pretty much gave up on dating, “no one” seems to be able to find what they’re looking for and dating
parasitesapps have made the issue 1000000x worse… When your world of potential dates expands dramatically and they’re all a swipe away the dating pool becomes a buffet table and the perfect dish is just one more swipe away… And another swipe… And another swipe… Pass on all these people, the next will be the perfect one… And another swipe…the problem is people have impossible standards, not just for dating, but life in general.
and if you don’t live in that perpetually unhappy head space, they think you’re a loser.
I want to be the cause of all AI and bigtech companies to go under.
So, I actually have something on this…
