Jupp, I stopped using 4chan when I learned a sizable amount of the people using it actually believed what was in what I perceived as the shitposts. Prior to that it was for me an outlet for the dumbest ideas I could think of

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do wealthy people know if the people they meet are wealthy or not?
0·10 days agoHonestly, I don’t see much issue with that, the amount of people with some unhealthy parasocial attachment to celebrities kind of makes it a good idea to limit the userbase
Does his beard stay like that because he never cleans it? Can you imagine the smell if that is why?
Not a specific one compliment, but noticing something about who I am at all times is the kind of compliment that is the best

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Anyone got any informative YouTube channels that DON’T use AI slop?
51·12 days agoWell I discovered it when I saw there was so many channels of his that talked about the similar topics, it felt off somehow so I started to google some of the stuff he talked about. It wasn’t necessarily wrong, but inaccurate enough that when you watch a lot of his stuff the image of what happened will be skewed. It has been years since I did it so I don’t have exact details for you, but it shouldn’t be too hard to replicate (if google/google.scholar hasn’t degraded too much).

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is anybody else worried about the lack of diverse opinion here?
9·17 days agoYeah, it is like how most if not all European countries have more than two political parties, which usually leads to a more sensible discourse than the one seen on reddit/USA.
You were evil/good for the last mission only or something close to it right? Other than that I do remember it being VERY short, and that some of the puzzles could be challenging first time around, but easy second time around.
Academy was so wierd, some parts were good, others were halfbaked. I do remember it as fun though
Yeah, storywise it makes sense and it sucks to play through

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Will US have any consequences for its actions ever?
71·19 days agoIn the relative short term, the answer is no. The US is too powerful relative to everyone else, this will likely not change until the EU becomes more of an equal than it currently is. This might not be the direct causal reason for the consequences, the US will face, but the time it will take for the consequences to manifest themselves are just that long, unfortunately.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•YouTube alternatives. Are there any high traffic alternatives?
3·19 days agoWell that explains why there is such a low amount of content
This is exactly my experience too, after 6months things just worked. Only Pop_OS’s new major update broke that a little bit, but is now for the most part back to just working like they used to or has been improved.
Windows that I have on a laptop keeps being annoying with its sudden updates that slows down everything, and not taking no for an answer when I press not fucking now or ever.
