You got anything on me? (I had to unblock you to find this comment)
Independent thinker valuing discussions grounded in reason, not emotions.
Open to reconsider my views in light of good-faith counter-arguments but also willing to defend what’s right, even when it’s unpopular. My goal is to engage in dialogue that seeks truth rather than scoring points.

I have never used the app anyway. I used Flamingo and when they killed 3rd party apps I’ve just been using browser instead. Lets me block ads that way too.
LLMs are AI. There’s a common misconception about what ‘AI’ actually means. Many people equate AI with the advanced, human-like intelligence depicted in sci-fi - like HAL 9000, JARVIS, Ava, Mother, Samantha, Skynet, and GERTY. These systems represent a type of AI called AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), designed to perform a wide range of tasks and demonstrate a form of general intelligence similar to humans.
However, AI itself doesn’t imply general intelligence. Even something as simple as a chess-playing robot qualifies as AI. Although it’s a narrow AI, excelling in just one task, it still fits within the AI category. So, AI is a very broad term that covers everything from highly specialized systems to the type of advanced, adaptable intelligence that we often imagine. Think of it like the term ‘plants,’ which includes everything from grass to towering redwoods - each different, but all fitting within the same category.
I’m starting to feel like more and more of these comics here are just political opinions not even intented to be entertaining.
What does greed have to do with spreading misinformation? Even the term itself implies ignorance. If it was intentional it would be called disinformation.
We’re talking about spreading misinformation, which by definition implies ignorance. If it was intentional it would be called disinformation.
Don’t contribute to malice what can be explained by ignorance.
All I have seen is that self driving cars will decide to kill people because they cannot make decisions about life in a way that preserves it.
Do you have any examples?
I’m no phycisist but I’d bet that the claim “it consumes no energy” is almost certainly false. I get what they mean but this isn’t exactly a honest way to describe it.
Cheaper, safer and one extra seat.
We’re obviously not there yet but I haven’t heard a single good argument for why we wouldn’t be in the future.
Humans are not getting any better at driving. Self-driving cars will eventually lead to tens of thousands of human lifes saved annually. Why do you want to prevent this?

It’s just bizzare to me that there’s data caps on your internet plans. Especially since you’re already paying 5x more than I’m for unlimited connection. I assume there must be some other reasons for this too than just greed. Perhaps the size of your country? I mean even Texas alone is almost as big as entire Europe.
I’m the only guy in my (small) friend group who still used pattern code instead of fingerprint so I take that to mean my phone is by default more difficult to break into than most. Giving my fingerprint to a giantic tech firm has always seemed like a bad idea so I never did. Though the fingerprint reader acts as a power button too so who knows if they’ve scanned it anyway.
And even if not, I’d rather be miserable on a cool bike.
When I was like three I watched the property maintenance dude plowing snow on our building’s front yard with a pickup truck and I thought that not only was it the coolest job in the world, but oh, how badly I wanted a truck like that too.
Fastforward 30 years and there I’m staring at one in the used cars parking lot at the local dealership realising it’s what I’ve always wanted and I can actually afford it too. Now I get to stare at it every single day because it’s mine. I even ended up starting my own business later so now it’s not only fun to drive and beatiful to look at but also useful.
This is equivalent of stalking your ex years after breaking up and hoping them to break up with their new partner.
Move on.
it’s hard to find a good trait about the guy
He’s not a warmonger for one. He’s pretty funny too.
EDIT: Also, though a bit synical, I must say that I find some enjoyment in how mad he makes the far left which I see as one of the main reasons we got Trump to begin with. He’s the reaction to wokeism and identity politics.
This implies that U.S. stopping weapons deliveries would leave them without weapons and ammunation which is not the case. It would make things a lot harder for Ukraine and make them lose more soldiers and land but it wouldn’t stop the war. They’d rather die than submit to Russia. Also, U.S. is not their only weapons supplier.
I no longer use this account. My new one just is so fresh that I doubt you have anything on that one. I don’t have you blocked on that account because I’m trying new approach to curating my feed and I’m using word filters now rather than blocking people when even they say something stupid.
Also, blocking doesn’t hide my comments from you - just yours from me.
