  • Recently I’ve been playing through games that I couldn’t afford as a kid, or my parents couldn’t afford to buy for me. For example I never really played SNES because according to my parents I already had a nintendo (NES). I downloaded a SNES emulator and have been playing Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Maui Mallard etc. I’ve been having fun.

  • I was on Ubuntu for like 3 years, a few days ago switched to Debian. I installed Ubuntu because I thought it would “easy” and “just works” and all that. I’m not very computery person, I know some basics but I’m mostly confused about everything.

What I’ve learned from using Debian is I should have just gone for that from the beginning. Its not that different and somehow it feels nicer and more capable. If your Ubuntu keeps giving you grief, try Debian or whatever you think looks nice.

  • It’s strange to think, but in the late 90s, albums were a bit of a cynical play. “I like this band or performer, let me get all that they have to give. I will spend $20+ on an album where a $5+ single might have given me the best they had to give.”

Yeah thats the thing. The artist has to be interested in making a album not just making a few hit songs and then filling up space. Luckily thats mostly a issue with pop music, the stuff I listen to tends to be more in line with creating a package.

One of the best things an album can do is put you into a sort of a trance, where you just listen and sink into the music. Only when the album ends you snap out of it, wipe the drool off your face and chest, get up and try to deal with life again lol.

  • I dunno but one of the main reasons I’ve cut my reddit time by ~90% and intend to drop it completely in the near future is because everyone there seems to think that anything that isn’t very obviously agreeing with them, is a invitation to some sort of debate.

Just the other day I give some additional information to someone, in a neutral tone and they got upset, called me dense and whatnot. I see it so much these days, users react negatively to a comment, and then the other person replies in a confused tone and apologizes… or responds in a equally angry manner.

I don’t have time or energy to all that anymore. But also, I hate everyone equally. I should move into a little cabin in the middle of the woods.
