You will never get me to care as much about foreign surveillance of my communications as I do about domestic surveillance of my communications.
“I’m knittin’ like a fuckin electric nan”

Do you honestly consider anyone criticizing Biden from the left to be a “tankie”?
Recently? Her vote in favor of a bullshit definition of antisemitism, and I saw an article yesterday about her pledging to change her ‘rebel ways’ to fit in better with the dem party line (meaning no longer support primary challenges to incumbents)-- and then Pelosi passed her over in favor of another decrepit dinosaur for a spot on the oversight committee.
Yeah, this is pretty much their bit. “Policies aimed at correcting historical trends of racial disparities are racist, actually.” It’s such a stupid argument that I can’t believe anyone makes it in good faith.
Nah. I was optimistic for her at first too, but she’s been a disappointment really. I would say at a minimum she has gotten less radical with time, and votes like the rest of the neoliberals in the party.
For me sometime soon after 40.
Your first gray pube.
Linux Mint Debian Edition. You can use Debian testing repos for more updated packages and kernels if you want. Also, it seems like more and more applications are adopting flatpak anyway.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s funny, but not surprising how much you’re down voted here. The meme is heavily upvoted for equating (presumably US) imperialism and (presumably Chinese) authoritarianism. But give an example of how much worse the US is, and people who pretend to hate imperialism fall over themselves to defend the US.
Be sure to consider that the past examples of US imperialism were widely supported by Americans just like you. In hindsight, we can often see more clearly since we aren’t immersed in the contemporary propaganda.
Mapping is great, but can we crowd source a parallel camera network that tracks police and politician vehicles on a public site?
Sounds like we need 49 more adjustments.
It’s good advice in general, but when it comes to opposing genocide I will continue assuming I’m correct, thanks.
This article/op-ed is about the “American character” or some shit. I think it really bears considering not just the evil bad Trump voters, but that the purported alternative is just as morally bankrupt.
You said that I’d rather Trump win. Why should I reflect? I’m not the one still defending a party that just lost an election. Presumably, you want your party to win elections in the future, so I would say that some self reflection is due. I’m trying to point you in what I see as the right direction, but maybe your wounds are still too fresh.
All that matters to you is to believe that I’m a Trump supporter, so you can dismiss my criticisms of your moral bankruptcy. Do you understand the concept of a “principle”? The way I was brought up, there are certain things that you just don’t compromise on. If you begin giving ground on your principles, you’ll soon find you don’t have any left. That’s where your party is, and that’s a huge part of why they have failed to present a credible challenge to Trumpism.
Between my point of view and the newspaper column above, which offers a more actionable path forward? To me, that column reads as pathetic self-indulgence, whereas my message is to morally re-center yourself and demand the same of your political leadership.
You’re right that I’m not a Democrat, and that I have more reasons than their unabashed support for genocide to dislike them. But can’t you see the irony in accusing me of “fake moral outrage” though? Do you simply not believe in morality at all? Or maybe genocide ranks lower on your list of things deserving moral outrage than it does on mine.
What I’m asking is do you have to be “a tankie” in order to criticize Biden from the left? That seems like a laughably broad definition of “tankie”.
