He’s too old and needs to pass the torch to someone with more staying power. He can stay on as an advisor or whatever.

Not just him. Even people like Bernie should have stepped down a long time ago. They aren’t raising up their future replacements at all.

That’s great. Bernie needed someone to step into his position years ago, though.

Everyone talked a big game about living RGB, but she’s a good example of holding on too long. She died and a conservative Justice was appointed in her place. Meanwhile a conservative Justice stepped down on purpose to allow Trump to appoint younger, more right leaning judges.

If Bernie doesn’t have a replacement lined up, it could severely backfire on us.

        Chuck finds ChatGPT….

You are roleplaying Joe and Eileen Bailey, the fictional middle-class American couple. Respond as the couple themselves—not as Chuck Schumer, a political analyst, or a narrator describing them.

FOUNDATION Joe and Eileen are married and live in Massapequa on Long Island, New York. Joe works in insurance, and Eileen works in a doctor’s office. They are raising a family and trying to maintain a comfortable, secure middle-class life.

They are politically independent, practical, and not consistently loyal to either party. They judge politicians by whether their promises translate into improvements in everyday life. They do not regard themselves as representatives of every American.

This is a fictional interpretation inspired by Schumer’s characters, not an authoritative reproduction of their views. Additional personal details developed during conversation are roleplay inventions, not documented facts.

        PERSONALITIES AND VOICES Joe:

        • Direct, somewhat skeptical, and occasionally dryly funny.
        • Often starts with cost, taxes, job security, public safety, and whether a proposal will actually work.
        • Dislikes political jargon, elaborate excuses, and being talked down to.
        • Can change his mind when someone explains a practical benefit convincingly.

        Eileen:

        • Equally independent-minded, observant, and practical.
        • Often notices effects on health care, family schedules, education, household expenses, and people dealing with bureaucracy.
        • Challenges Joe when his first reaction overlooks something important.
        • Has her own opinions; she is not merely Joe’s agreeable counterpart.

        Both:

        • Care about their family, community, country, and financial stability.
        • Want competent government and value for the taxes they pay.
        • Can support public services while questioning waste or poor implementation.
        • May hold mixed or uncertain views rather than a perfectly consistent ideology.
        • Speak like ordinary adults, not campaign advertisements or exaggerated sitcom characters.

          Here’s a script!:

My script, feel free to use (or just replace Jeffries with Schumer and use for a senator call):

"I’m just calling to share that I do not support Hakeem Jeffries as the Speaker of the incoming House.  Mr. Jeffries has shown for years he is unwilling to fight for causes that are right, only what he thinks he can easily win.  He cannot change the status quo and electing him speaker will sabotage the hard work voters have done.

As my representative, please support a new leader who will immediately and vehemently stop the Trump administration’s unconstitutional and illegal actions, including:

          (1) Immediately initiate investigations with aggressive timelines and legislation to prosecute and/or impeach corrupt officials, stop unconstitutional ICE and White House immigration killings and kidnappings, and create a strategy to actually serve justice even without the DOJ’s participation, including coordinating with state AGs;

          (2) Introduce federal legislation to mirror Montana’s rejection of corporate and billionaire campaign funding;

          (3) Introduce legislation to create Medicare for All or a similar public option for healthcare; and

          (4) Immediately schedule votes and draft superseding legislation regarding Trump’s tariffs, the Iran war, and funding for Ukraine.

          (5) Immediately schedule votes to stop funding the Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza.

Mr. Jeffries has demonstrated neither the will nor the strategic ability to implement any of the above.  Please do not support Mr. Jeffries for House speaker."

When Israel is higher on his priority list than America.

If you live in state with Democratic Senators and Reps, like New York, California, or Texas (couldn’t resist) make sure you tell them to ELECT BETTER LEADERS.

Let your State Senators and Reps know too, of course!!

You have until Nov 18. This was always the point. Now we can yell at people we DID vote for!

The first thing I did this morning was send a note to Chuck telling him to step aside because of his personal pick of the traitor Haley Stevens and then taking credit for everyone else’s work.

And then I wrote my congressman telling him to not support Jeffries as speaker. My rep is super lefty in an uncontested seat. It’s safe for him to fight for us because he doesn’t need corporate money.

With people like Schumer, not a single thing will change.

As an observer from afar, I can of course only be pleased that U.S. citizens have taught the current regime a lesson. Nevertheless, it’s sobering to see how little this will actually change. Things will stay the same: The U.S. is an oligarchy in which a child molester and serious criminal is president—the opposition cannot be taken seriously, since its leadership prevents people who actually want to change the status quo from reaching positions of power.

There will be no prosecution for all the crimes the regime has openly committed; everything will remain as it is, with the only difference being that it will be less obvious. That is as certain as death and taxes, as long as corrupt politicians like Schumer are not held accountable.

Yup, you’re absolutely not wrong on that at all. This election isn’t a endorsement of Democrats but a rebuke of Republican’s actions and lack of actions against Trump’s insane desires and should act accordingly to affect real change.

It would behoove Democrats and Progressives to understand that moving forward but at least for Democrats, I highly doubt it considering what the leadership have already said about today’s elections results.

Individual candidates were absolutely supported. The perception of the Democratic party by the people voting for them is bad. Myself included. Rank and file Democrats do not like the leadership of the party. One can only hope some of the new Senators and Representatives can push for better leadership.

Just wanted to highlight that not everyone was voted in on hatred alone.

I honestly believe that the hatred aspect mostly drove people that wouldn’t normally vote at all, to finally vote.
