I do wonder how this could possibly save his stocks. Anyone who was dumping stocks of companies where he was involved isn’t going to buy them back simply because he’s cutting ties with Trump.
If anything this will make his stocks dive even further because now he won’t even be able to get government contracts via corruption.

The idea of Trump getting ousted next term and all of the Republican party just…existing as normal makes me sick. They should be disbanded as a party and everyone who is in office now should be barred from politics. They are complicit in the deconstruction of the US.
This could still absolutely be orchestrated to rehab Musk’s image, but there’s no way it will “fix his stocks”. For the most part, the only people who would be caught dead buying Teslas recently were MAGA freaks. And now he’s alienated them with his feud with Dear Leader. After the share price was already falling and Teslas sales were down over 70%, at least in the US. I think it will truly nosedive now…
I don’t see how he comes back from this. Originally I thought he could do it if Trump subsidized the shit out of his companies. (Like an executive order that requires all police cars be Tesla or some similar lol bullshit.) But now with him and Trump all piss baby tweet fighting, I don’t see it. Will be an interesting shitshow to watch.
