I personally find her art to be simplistic, and the messaging is very much “mainstream common sense”, with frequent additions of quite opinionated bits.
Again, I don’t mind it, but I can see why for someone who expects at least a level of debate instead of having opinions force fed to them, would find her comics to “suck”.
There can be debate in a comic. As in, characters bringing up talking points and the winner argument winning based on logic.
Do you see that in this comic? Or in most of PizzaCake’s work?
Also, “every popular comic”? Fuck no. Most actually get you to think. You can state the obvious AND make it a thought exercise. The latter is completely missing here.
