At the very least, I will have a well-educated position whence to call annoying people Butt-heads

No, you need to ask the Hist for help
The end of the world as we know it

They mean if a thing turns into another thing, they’re the same thing.

Let’s less assumptions next time and then less mistakes :3

This is easily explained by the fact OP is a femme and the maintainer is a misogynist

Computer science used to be for women until men realised there was money in it, and now they act like women are too stupid to understand it.

He?

I’m not saying politics is all good, but politics gives humans the power to make all those nice things you said mean something. Tools only get passed on to the next generation because of schools and apprenticeships; political organisation of knowledge. Ingenuity only has a lasting effect because of education politics, and the political organisation of philosophy and science. Climbing Mount Everest and landing on the moon would be difficult or impossible without politics to make supply chains and organise expedition parties. Knowledge would die in a generation if not for our politics, like it does with octopodes, an animal just as smart as humans, but apolitical.
And I think love is an inherently political emotion. Apolitical animals like octopodes or lizards don’t have an evolutionary reason to develop love, except perhaps sexual love for reproduction. Look at seahorses and how political and loving they are in comparison. Or penguins. So very political, so very loving. They care for their partners and children for a long time. Love is what binds them together and lets them do all those politics. Compare with eagles, whose most advanced political organisation is “get off my lawn”. Their lack of love makes them less political.
PieFed has a reputation feature admins can use to help figure out if an account is prosocial. There’s an option to prevent meme communities from adding to reputation

Politics also made all those civilisations.
When a society all agrees not to eat all the potatoes now, but to plant some underground and wait for them to grow more potatoes, that’s politics.
When an artist and a programmer agree to divide responsibilities and make a video game together, that’s politics.
When a discord moderator decides to force everyone to agree to a no politics rule, that’s politics.

That’s just a list of four random things I like

I don’t. Politics is the greatest strength of the human species. Ants and wolves and elephants are pretty political compared to snakes or rats, but humans are the most political animal by several orders of magnitude. It’s their capacity for political organising that made the Pyramids, and Bioshock, and put a man on the moon, and created Avatar

That’s true, but I think there’s a sizeable portion of people who want to believe that nothing has significantly changed for American minorities in the past year. They didn’t bother voting in 2024, and now they want to believe that nothing got worse for their queer and poc neighbours.
When communists talk about “controlled opposition”, this is what we mean. A billionaire goes to the DNC and says “Here’s a consultant I spent millions on to help your campaign”. The consultant has secret orders to sabotage the campaign and says “oil jobs are very important to voters, brag about all the oil jobs you’re going to create”. Kamala brags about the oil jobs and loses the support of the left. Kamala loses and ICE starts shooting people in the streets. And the left doesn’t learn because we don’t want to admit we messed up.

It’s also affecting queer and poc people more than before.

I know the youngster in one of these kinds of situations, and she is ashamed. She’s also intimidated into compliance and desperate to leave so she can have her own life.

Politics is group decision making. Culture is group decision making concerning intangible things. History is group decision making in the past.

The good version of this is in Transformers One.
Orion Pax and D-16 just lead a revolution to overthrow the state, and are deciding what to do with the old head of state. D-16 wants to kill him and burn this motherfucker to the ground. But Orion reminds him that they’re creating a new government with their actions right now, and they need to embody the principles they want to see. D-16 doesn’t want to hear it because he’s angry. Orion gets in the way, and D-16 shoots him.
And that’s how Orion Pax gets the Matrix of Leadership and becomes Optimus Prime. By thinking about the future and what sort of world his actions are creating.
