Vivek Ramaswamy, the former presidential candidate running as a Republican for governor of Ohio, posted a Halloween photo of himself and his two sons on Friday. The post received a wave of xenophobic and racist replies, including one user who wrote, “I see this year Vivek went as an H1B immigrant here to steal your jobs. Very scary. Like the brown version of the Grinch.”

These MAGA minorities think “they’re one of the good ones”

It’s only a matter of time until they find out, like they always have in history, that the white ruling class doesn’t give a shit about them, and will cast them to the wolves when they’re done using them.

On that note, how’s Enrique Tarrio doing these days?

You know, the frontman/figurehead leader of the proud boys, token minority, all the actual decisions are made by a shadowy council of I think 13 white dudes, ‘elders’?

Republicans are going to be Republicans no matter the race. These minorities will vote the hard R while running themselves ragged trying to justify it by mumbling “I’m white adjacent enough”.

    They won’t leave, they’ll just self-hate more.

I’ve never been a supporter of the guy but my hat’s off for the kid in a gundam outfit holding some gunpla.

The photo itself is entirely innocuous, just a dude with his two sons on halloween.

Take a political organization with no policies, no substance, only nationalist slogans and propaganda. It should be obvious that such an org, having no plan for real and beneficial change, will eventually turn in on itself because they need someone to blame for the lack of progress. And who did these guys think they would start with?

Assumed I was talking about the GOP? That comment easily fits the Democrats. Observe how they’re turned on players with actionable plans, Platner, AOC, Bernie, Mamdami, et al.

Ah yes, democrats. Known for their nationalist sloagn’s like “Support the troops” and “America First!” And “Make America Great Again!” am I forgetting any others? There has to be some around Reagon and Nixon’s time I’m forgetting.

They say the same exact things you quoted without hammering them into slogans, same meanings though. Their voters aren’t as easily swayed by quickie little blurbs, they aim a little higher, longer sentences, but the messages still lack meaning. But maybe that’s why their messaging isn’t hitting? Would you argue the Democrats are winning the propaganda war?

You want to argue the Democrats have real policies of substance? Real plans to move our economy and society forward? Because all I see them doing is killing the tiny minority that have articulated plans. You gonna address any other part of my comment?

Lemmy: We hate Democrats, but don’t dare compare them to the GOP! We’ll call you out for ‘both sides’ and nullify your opinion!"

“No thanks, picked out the bit I wanted to argue, got my ‘burn’, we’re done here.”

The classic “Lock her up!” while crying about weaponized DOJ that is now going after anyone that sought justice against their dictator.

Even if that’s true, it won’t last. These issues have long lasting effects and they’ll get pissy when the next administration doesn’t immediately fix it. Since they voted for this shit once we know they’re not intelligent or discerning.

This might make me mean but I probably have even less sympathy for non white people, queer people and women that side with the religious right wing, white supremacist, patriarchal bigots and think they’re not also on the list. Less sympathy for them than for magas, which is basically none as it is.

How fucking dumb do you have to be to be part of a minority (read : non white) and be a GOP supporter.

They support a party that openly hate them and actively want to hurt them.

Vivek has gotten obscenely wealthy by extolling a conservative worldview. I think be knows exactly what he’s doing, even if it is entirely self serving.

Also, really, Vivek should be happy. This is literally the free speech he supposedly fought for and the sort of speech Twitter was re-engineered to proliferate.

As we all know, it was never about “free speech”, it was about “saying every racist/hateful thing without any consequences or societal pushback”. They’re actually just saying that out loud these days.

If there’s a minority that considers themselves Republican, they’re too damn stupid for this to make a difference at this point.
