Europe didn’t refuse to accommodate larger vehicles. The simply couldn’t. All the towns are significantly older than the oldest town in the USA. The town streets are narrower, and can’t support the weight of larger vehicles.
If there wasn’t that constraint, there would be ltz suburbans everywhere.
