Terry Moran was effectively dismissed from the network after calling Stephen Miller and Trump ‘world-class’ haters
A journalist who lost his job at ABC News after describing top White House aide Stephen Miller as someone “richly endowed with the capacity for hatred” has said he published that remark on social media because he felt it was “true”.
“It was something that was in my heart and mind,” the network’s former senior national correspondent Terry Moran said Monday on The Bulwark political podcast. “And I would say I used very strong language deliberately.”
Moran’s comments to Bulwark host Tim Miller about standing by his remarks came a little more than a week after he wrote on X that Stephen Miller – the architect of Donald Trump’s hardline immigration policies – “eats his hate”.
“His hatreds are his spiritual nourishment,” Moran’s post read, in part. He added that the president “is a world-class hater. But his hatred [is] only a means to an end, and that end [is] his own glorification”.
I kinda feel like I’m taking crazy pills* I’m seeing examples of dictatorship left and right, six months after taking office, and mostly all I really see are jokes and team cheering or jeering.
A journalist was fired for speaking against a person in political power. Not only that, the offense was just calling someone hateful. Meanwhile slurs and hateful dehumanizing names and actual made up diagnosis are used to put down anyone critical of anyone in the current administration that is currently in Trump’s good graces.
*I’m aware that we are humans giving knee jerk reactions, and often these posts are a form of stress relief. It doesn’t stop me from feeling like Chicken Little
I also just wanna add this journalist has some fantastic writing skills and damn now I wanna look up his entire career. I hope someone snatches him up and I’m really proud and heartened to see a public figure face the consequences of standing up to fascism and still hold their head high. To publicly say they stand by their statements and not apologize.

MORE journalists should be focusing on the pure evil of Stephen “PeeWee Himmler” Miller. This is the guy who wants to reduce the American population from a diverse 335 million, to a homogenous 100illion. He is HitlerPig’s most trusted advisor, someone who has been by his side from the beginning, while dozens of others have come and gone.
He is an incredibly powerful man, and Moran was fired for simply pointing out the most basic truth about him. ABC has been my favored news source for a long time, but after this incident, and the $15 million settlement of the frivolous and vexatious Stephanopoulos Defamation case (which was nothing less than a bribe), I can’t trust their reporting anymore.

It’s not that this journalist was some saint, but the axing was delivered as a sign of bending the knee
The Labor government hasn’t been able to unfuck the many years of bullshit that happened yet, and the cuts were so deep that things may never go back to the way they were
