ai;dw for youtube slop
Problem is by starting the video AND commenting you up the engagement.
I’ve heard that your comment needs to be longer than three words to matter for enagement, or something.
Well then problem not a problem, I suppose.
Wait, I love a good written guide but for years everyone was doing YouTube videos instead… Now I have to use AI to make me a written guide from a video I dont want to sit in front off ? Oh god I’m screwed either way
Funny enough, YouTube slop videos enrage me even more than slop pages.
or for the “author” of an article
I hate that this could kinda have two meanings:
- This is AI slop so I’m not reading it
- This is too long I ain’t reading allat, give me the AI summary
It’s just the first. The second would be TL;AI.
Or AI:AI, captain
I cant hear you!
AI AI CAPTAIN!
“Ooooooooh…”
“This is AI slop; I’m not reading that. Give me an AI summary instead”
I would vote for the first, mainly to follow the TLDR format
Yeah should be slop:dr
Arguably, if someone wants an AI summary, the can easily get one, from their device. If someone wants a text to be non-slop though…
Yeah, I don’t worry about the ai;dr expression that much myself, I think it will sort itself out with use.
Careful now, we’ll start running around dropping this like “fake news” (when it’s factual).
What is sarcastic about “ai;dr”? Is the implication that people who say this actually did read it?
make it llm;dr and we got a deal
si;dr final offer
/s if it wasn’t clear
Did someone say cider?
Mmm, cider
I hardly know her!
Wake me up when AI ends by green day.
Ai;dr something something you’re right and brilliant for asking.
Been using this one for quite a while now. Sometimes you need to share AI conversations for context. My rule of thumb is that I human summarize and contextualize like I would normally, then in a thread below it, fork off an ai;dr quoted reply. Makes it like optional reading.
Ok, I don’t get it. What is ai;dr supposed to stand for?
AI; Didn’t read. It’s the AI version of tl;dr (too long; didn’t read).
Thanks!
I’ll be using this.
Is it when you give an incorrect but confident summary of an article?
I’ve seen this a year ago it isn’t new

Okay, but some people think the use of capitalization and punctuation is proof positive the writing is AI.
And watch out if you know MarkDown or how to indent.

In the same vein, I have invented a new word: Copegoat
In use: “When Trump dies, Vance will be the copegoat for all the things MAGA couldn’t blame on him.”
