They want to go back to the times where they could sic the national guard with belt-fed machine guns, armored trains, and aerial bombers on striking workers.

Personally, I like to modify that quote. “Those who make peaceful reform impossible, makes violent revolution inevitable.”

How is that a question? It’s a definitive statement and definitely one the rich need to be reminded of!

Phrasing statements as a question is a common way to express caution or, alternatively, disbelief that the statement needs to be made.

“Someone should probably tell him not to piss on an electric fence?”

I feel like they’re just using it to indicate an upward inflection towards the end of tbe sentence. Know what I mean? Like those youtubers who always talk like they’re asking? a question?

    Oh they know very well.
They’re dumping billions into stopping it(corporate media and owning education) and ensuring their survival(all of those bunkers they have.)

Yeah, well, it’s time to start breaking down some fucking doors then because they don’t give a shit about anything else except their own personal safety.

They didn’t forget, they enacted a decades-long propaganda campaign to ensure we’ll be too preoccupied with fighting each other to band together.

The biggest lie is that we even need to band together. A couple dozen people offing a couple dozen other people is all it takes to send the strongest message to the rich in American history. No massive coordination campaign required. Someone started it with Brian and the rest of us just watched the moment pass by.

Okay. Ask yourself this - who actually has the ability to exact force here? The workers night theoretically have weapons and the right to bear arms, sure. Functionally, that right means nothing compared to the ability to use it by the police, PMCs, security details, the Guard & the Reserve.

We get lucky sometimes like the incident in New York City where a man shot a CEO, for which an innocent man was arrested. But they respond with things like Hochul placing police as security whenever a C-Suite officer is in public, or additional investment to the security industry.

I wish that could change, but raw numbers don’t equate to the ability to exact force.

I dunno. I’m licensed to operate 2 ton machines that can travel at high rates of speed. Highways are dangerous, and humans are fragile things

If the rich kill all the workers then the work doesn’t get done. They can’t just mow down striking workers with machine guns without destroying their own business. That means the workers have the power.

They burnt down an entire city block when George Floyd was killed.

If enough people are pissed off, there’s very little the authorities can do, and soldiers don’t like firing on civilians one bit.

Besides, law enforcement and military are funded by the taxes the working class paid.

    Private jets and international investments.

The idea of a revolution has become a soothing dream.

Peaceful revolution is still a good idea but somebody has to come up with an improvement first.
