No, the goal in 2021 was to delay/stop the certification and keep trump in power. This time, I’m sure the Nazi propaganda framing would be to stop Kamala Harris (sitting VP and therefore president of the Senate) from “awarding herself the presidency.” But since there will definitely be appropriate security this time, the cowardly Nazis will stay home and masturbate to deepfake porn of Democrats, activists, and controversial celebrities instead.
The only it will be resolved by then is if Kamala loses and concedes.
The tragedy we’ve been living through needs a biiiiiiiiig catharsis to make it worthwhile.

I was just talking about this book and the adaptation. Both excellent examples of their respective media types. And maybe the most faithful book adaptation I’ve ever seen.
He doesn’t have all that long anyway, but I sure would love to see him spending lots of time in and out of court at a minimum. Going to prison would be fantastic. Honestly, I know the likelihood is nearly nil, but the American people really, really need to see a Republican finally pay for their crimes. Stone and Bannon are out of prison and they should both be rotting there.

I hear you. I was getting way too worked up about it as well. I’ve reduced my phone time as best I can, got some physical activity in, and tried to focus on some hobbies. It has really been helping but it took a couple days to take effect. I’m sure that you have or will be voting. Just do your part and then try to occupy yourself with other things.
I’ve tried occupying myself this whole time. I actually managed it. Just a sense of dread in the back of my head, no active, debilitating terror. But it’s falling apart now that everything’s so close. It was easy to kill when the election was far, and I could see it abstractly. But now it’s here, and I don’t have enough faith in my fellow Americans to be confident. I’m glad Harris’s team is, I just hope it means something.

If you struggle to visualise, just focus on your breathing. When you notice you are distracted bring it back to your breathing. Acknowledge where your mind drifted but try not to dwell on it as you focus back.
There are also apps available to help with breathing exercises. I had one that showed a balloon inflating and deflating. I found it easier to focus on that at first.
Counting while you box breath can also make it easier. The count can be whatever you’re comfortable with. 5 5 5 5 works well for me.

In terms of target, certainly, but in terms of “Is using Starship Troopers bad?”, not really. Trump’s team has been preparing for a loss for at least weeks now. Luckily it’s so obvious that, especially with the precedent of the last coup, it’s not going to take anyone by surprise. As a Canadian: please get out and vote, give Harris the substantial victory your country needs, and rub it in Trump’s face so hard it’s breaks through the layers of spray tan.
P.S. OP, I can understand how you feel. Even as a Canadian I’m going to be so glad to get past tomorrow + the time it takes to confirm a victor. Issues like the environment, Ukraine/Russia, and Israel/Gaza affect us all.

I think Trump will win narrowly. Allan Lichtman predicted Kamala but I think some of his arguments for his keys to the white house being/not being turned are shaky.
